Writing Britain: Wasteland to Wonderlands

 Writing Britain

Today I visited the British Library and was pleasantly surprised to find Writing Britain an exhibition exploring Britain’s landscape. Over one thousand years of English Literature gathered in one room.  The exhibition depicts how writers have been inspired by their respective landscape to write characters that evoke a sense of place and emotion that combined, has griped the readers, thus taking them into a magical journey.

The exhibition is divided from Rural Dreams, Dark Satanic Mills, Wild Places, Beyond the City, Cockney Visions to Waterlands. Here is pick preview of what  in store at the exhibition which runs from 11 May – 25 September 2012.

Writer’s Greatest Works of Literature and the Landscape  that Inspired them.
