Disturbing the Sound of Music

Lyrics linger in my head, the sound too hard to tell

Memories race hard in my veins, withering will never be the same

I had a tell to tell but my tale has forgotten its end

I remember that afternoon 24 years ago between heat & cold a new horizon was being born

I didn’t feel, I didn’t dream I was too numb to think

I remember walking the strange cold streets, reminiscing  of the  heat

Salt & Vinegar that was my new delight  – while my hopes and dreams froze on a winter leaf

Many foliage, deciduous prelude of the time to come: days grown short and nights grown cold and grey

My winter tale was now far away upon a heated cloud with a long corridor leading to gold

Never more to go, Never more to return, Never more to know…. winter-leaf-nadja-drieling
